The one where I declare my hate for moustaches

I really don't like moustaches. I don't have anything against people with moustaches - I just don't like moustaches. My next door neighbour had a moustache when I was younger and any time we went tound to their house he would pick me up and try to kiss me. Eugh. I HATED the feeling of all thouse little spiky hairs like spiders legs rubbing all over me. So anyway, you can imagine my delight when I saw this top yesterday. Not only is it a nice shape and everything, it depicts me!
It's from the Urban Outfitters sale. £10. YAY!

The one where I try to make baked alaska

So today, I thought I'd try some really adventurous baking. However, it turned out it was a little too adventurous for me. I thought I'd go for baked chocolate alaska although it sort of turned out like an enormous volcano you would get at a science fair, errupting.
It all started off with the cake being like cement. Then the chocolate icing went runny and  then the meringue wasn't thick enough. And... well.

Then all hell broke loose. My mum tried to tidy it up and she just made it worse. I tried to cut myself a wee slice before I put it in the bin but once I'd cut it, it sunk into the ice-cream and meringue and I couldn't find it. Boohoohoo!

Well, what can I say? It's been a learning curve if nothing else.

The one where I graze my chin

I love looking through all my old pictures on my laptop and sometimes I just find the most random things. I honestly find myself sitting on the couch, chortling away to myself at all the funny memories I have. So anyway, I just thought I'd share some of these with you guys:

The picture on the left was when I grazed my chin on the bottom of the diving pool. Well done me eh? (I'm a diver). The one on the right was when I wrapped myself in a sheet to look like a Bhuddist monk.
I love this picture. I took it last winter at the River Almond

Pretty self explanitory I think?
This one. Oh god. I'm laughing just writing this. I stuck my head under a super-power hand dryer.

My pooch - Louis.

Pooch number 2 - Angus

And this one makes me laugh sooooo much. I was just shaking my head as fast as I could when my friend took a picture. Shake and take, I like to call it.

Well. I have my prelims for my standard grades coming up soon and today, while I was doing a bit of revision (notice the rather exciting pen and the very quirky mug of orange juice with my name on it), I got very bored and remembered my ‘genius plan’ from a previous post. I promised to keep you guys updated, so here it is. A visit to Princes Street took me up to 5 out of 7 items:
Cable knit tights - New look

Quirky printed tee - Primark (I got thia a couple weeks ago. We don't have a Primark in Edinburgh yet.)

Chunky knit cardi - with a fairisle pattern (this counts as 2) - New look
The bracelet on the far left - Pie in the Sky ( a little boutique-type shop)
please excuse the drawing on my hand (that is the results of my revision boredom)

             Top - H&M

Outfit Of the Day

Today's not very exciting. I'm just going round to chill at my friend's house and play Mario Karts. It's always good fun though. I always enjoy those chill-out days where you're just constantly laughing. It's still good to look nice even if you're just chilling with your friends, right? So today I've found myself in a bit of an ... interesting outfit:

Top: H&M
Shorts: I got them in a shop called Cubus when I was on an exchange to Norway in June
Tights:New look
Necklace(I know you can't really see it):Miss Selfridge

I was quite proud of the matchiness between my shorts and my shoes!

Also, I got a new signature. What do you think? I just thought this looked a lot neater and nicer!

School Uniform

Konichiwa everyone! :)

So, because I go to a British school, I have to wear school uniform. Boohoo. I wish we didn't. I personally feel that it takes away your individuality and you just look like a robot, walking along identical to the next person, and the next, and the next. Luckily though, my school's not a private school where you have to wear a knee-length kilt and all that jazz. Although the uniform isn't that strict, they have got a lot more sticky about it recently and non-white shoes and jeans have been being picked up on a lot more.

Anyhoo, this is what I wear:

I either wear a loose waste high skirt with big baggy pockets on the front, or a tight waste high tube skirt with a brown belt around the top and cable-knit black tights.

If it's colder I wear either cropped trousers with a brown belt or black skinny jeans. You're not technically supposed to I wear jeans but you can usually slip by.

I wear them with either a sleevless shirt or a thin long sleeved shirt with the sleeves rolled up and tucked in.

I wear my school tie too but I didn't bother taking a picture but I'm sure you can imagine it. We can also wear a navy or white school polo shirt with the school logo if we want but I usually just wear a shirt and tie. I also wear black brogues or frilly black pumps.

The unifor is clearly VERY boring so I tend to brighten it up with jewellery and har accessories and stuff. Oh and a great big colourful cross-body bag with Tom and Jerry on the front (you can see it in my last post). I also really like trying out new eye make-up and hairstyles. Anything that will make my uniform less boring!

So... what's your uniform like (if you have one?) and how do you make it more exciting. New ideas would be much appreciated ha!

Happiness isn't ready-made... it comes from your own actions

Well, today in Edinburgh the weather is crap. Crappedy-crap-crap-crap. And just to add to the crapness, it's the October holiday and it's been raining so hard all day, I've not been able to go anywhere. It's only half past four and I'm sitting in my bedroom with the main light and my side-light on because it's so dull outside. To be hones, it makes me feel kind of depressed. So to rid myself of it I decided to recap on all the things that have made me happy this week. Well, a few of them (what can I say, I'm a happy person - usually).
Middle partings
I've not had a middle parting since I was about eight but recently I've started wearing one again. I think I can pull it off as I seem to be one of those people that it suits and doesn't make me look like some kind of mutant alien-teenagaer geek!

My purple converse
I have practically live in these things! They're spectacularly comfy and I genuinely wear them with absolutely everything.

Mmm. Enough said, I think.

My Tom and Jerry bag
Again, comfort is a big thing for me - if it's not comfy I won't wear it. But this bag is. And it's so cute and quirky aswell. It's a good size and I can fit all my stuff in it. I quite simply, love it.

Tesco's milk choc chip cookies
I've just been munching on these all week. I don't even care if they make me fat, they're so blooming marvellous I'd eat them all day. They've got that perfect balance between chewy and hard and they aren't sickly. Everything you could ask for in a cookie eh?

Au Natural

I love Natural Collection. A lot. It's so cheap and not only that, it's good quality which, to be honest, doesn't happen very much. I think I must have bought my very first Natural Collection mascara about... two years ago? And since then, every time it runs out I go back for the same one.

My favourite mascara is the Lash Curl one. It does take a few layers and it makes your eyelashes go a wee bit clumpy but It's really easy to separate them with the end of the wand. The mascara holds amazingly well all day at school and there's no need for re-appliance. Also, it doesn't do that really annoying thing where it flakes off your lashes during the day and makes it look like you have black dandruff all over your face, which is never pretty. And the thing I REALLY like about it is that, despite not actually saying it on the tube, the mascara seems to be pretty much waterproof. I'm a diver (springboard, not scuba) and I wear it in the pool all the time without getting panda eyes haha!

However, all this taken into account, I have to say that the best thing about it is the price. . . £1.99! Yup! It's definitely my best makeup buy at an excellent bargain. Highly recommended!

What are your best makeup buys and have you ever tried Natural Collection?

That's the way uh-hu uh-hu I like it...

I've recently discovered a love for 'smoky eyes'. I've known about it for quite a while but I could never get it to work until rasonably recently. I found a tutorial in some magazine or other but like most of these things, my skills as a makeup artist didn't live up to the picture ha. So I altered it a bit until I was able to do it properly without jabbing my eyeballs with various makeup brushes and utensils.
The brushes I used

The Makeup I used:-
1. Amelia Night blusher
2. Claire's eyeshadow
3.A random, brandless shimmer stick out of a magazine
4. Natural Collection Lash Curl Mascara (possibly my best over makeup buy - an excellent £1.99 bargain from Boots!)
5. black Amelia Night eyeliner Pencil

This is a radom set which I got as a present but I'm only using the black out of it at the moment.

 Finished! :D
